I should be doing work.

Where is my motivation???

=(

I have class in a half hour, a little more, and I'm sitting in the computer lab trying to print out copies of my poem. But of course I'm sitting on Livejournal instead. ::sigh:: I'm never going to get anything done!

In other news, I received a very scary Valentine yesterday. After Hunter left he found an envelope outside, and the card read: "To the most beautiful girl I've never met" and signed Caleb Lanier. I don't know if it was to my roommate or I, but it was scary nontheless! I don't know who Caleb Lanier is, and the fact that it appeared there in the middle of the night (well, midnight-ish) is a bit disconcerting. I was thinking that perhaps it could have been put at the wrong apartment, but then... we have windchimes, and a doormat. It's personalized, I think that if the person was mistaken then they would have realized.

I'm so curious though, so I think that I'm going to ask my complex after the name. If Caleb lives there, they should know!

Hand-delivered mystery Valentines! :D I sort of wish I had one.

Anyway! Motivation is overrated! (Like lots of things!) I want to hear all about the Caleb Chronicles, though!

I'm almost flattered, but then I think about it and I get scared.

Hee!!! I'll keep you updated. You're right though. So many things are overrated. Like:

+ Motivation
+ Schoolwork
+ ...Reality.

Hee :D

Aww, I'm sorry. Well, hopefully you'll find out that it's nothing serious.

Reality is ESPECIALLY overrated. Who needs it, really??

I'm Caleb Lanier! I'm the same one that put that Valentine card at your door, I lived in the same complex as you at the time and had seen you a couple times and thought to myself "what a beautiful girl, I'd love to meet her". I didn't know your name and we had never met so I thought "To the most beautiful girl I've never met" sounded pretty good, I even asked a few girl neighbors about it and they thought it would be a great idea and agreed that they would love to have that at their door. It was not meant to scare you, it actually hurts me that it did and I'm sorry. I thought I'd surely meet you soon after that but I never really saw you again. The card was simply intended to say happy valentines day to a beautiful girl, that's all, no more, no less. I saw your page here by doing a google search of my name and could not believe that I saw this! I'm sorry about all the confusion, I never meant to cause any problems. I wish you the very best and at least you will always have a valentines day story to tell. Take Care...Caleb

Hello Caleb! (This is [info]lightpersephone)

Honestly, the only reason that my roommate and I were scared is because we thought it might be a joke. The fact that you meant it in a nice way makes all the difference, and now that I know that, it seems silly that I was scared before. Thank you very much for the valentine, and now that I know that it WAS to us, I feel very happy.

I am curious though, because I have a roommate. I'm not sure if the valentine was to me or to her. Could you describe the girl that you saw, per chance? :)

Hey again... I'm happy to see it's all cleared up, I feel much better about things now! I was not aware that there was more than one person living there or I would have been more specific in the card. At the same time if you are not the one the card was intended for then I really don't want to make you feel bad so I hope it dosen't. The girl that I put the card there for drove a red eclipse, I could describe her if you like but I'm sure that will let you know who it is. As a matter of fact, as I said before I had asked several girl neighbors about the card idea so they knew I sort of had a little crush, well when asked about the card or if I had met her yet she was reffered to as "total eclipse of the heart" like the old song. I know that's cheesy but it fit because, the girl, the car, the car was red, valentines day...you get it. Anyway let me know, I'll check back soon. Thanks for giving me the chance to clear this up, I'm relieved. Merry Christmas!

I'm glad that you feel better about it. Honestly, it was a very flattering card to receive, although I wasn't sure until now who it was for.

I do drive a red eclipse. :) And it makes me really happy to learn that that song was my nickname, because that is one of my favorite songs!

At the time that we received the card I had a boyfriend, so I assumed that it was to my roommate. However, now that I'm single, I don't feel guilty at all about saying that I appreciate it very, very much (and I still have it). :) One of the reasons we thought it was a joke was because you had really, really nice handwriting, and we automatically assumed that it couldn't be a guy who wrote it.

Do you have AIM? You seem really nice, and I'd like to thank you more personally.

Merry Christmas!

I'm so happy to know that you are "total eclipse of the heart"!!! I can't believe that you still have the card. I do have nice handwriting for a guy, I'm told that a lot. I love that I found this page as was able to finally know if the card had ever found it's destination and the fact you are flattered makes it all worth the wait. I'm sorry to tell you that I do not have AIM, however I would be honored to talk to you...I'd leave you my e-mail or phone number but I probably should not since this is a public site...what do you suggest???
